I enjoyed going on this Alaskan adventure from the safety of my armchair, and the author's quirky, humorous writing style made me want to be her friend. I am hoping for a sequel to follow up on a certain relationship, and I look forward to more stories coming from this hopeful new author.
Great book that is fast paced and not full of cliches. It is a page turner and caused much suspense and left me wanting more to read by this author! Definitely worth my time and like any good book I read it is now a friend I will revisit again.
I felt many emotions throughout this story. I had a few chuckles and then I laughed right out loud. I was mad and became anxious for what would happen next. I had a hard time putting this book down and a hard time resisting the temptation to scan the last chapter to make sure it ended the way I wanted. ;) I hope there is a sequel to the story so I can find out what happens to the characters next! I really enjoyed this book! While the beginning felt a little glitchy (something about the dialogue didn't feel very "real"), whatever the issue was resolved itself along about chapter 5, and this exhilerating story came pouring through the pages! Mekena is a very relatable character, albeit annoyingly selfish at the beginning. Her character grows throughout the excitement of the story into one I am glad I got to know. Adventure, beauty, wit, and spiritual inspiration await you. Get this book!
